NURS 4258 Critical Thinking Seminar IV: Transition to Practice
This culminating seminar course focuses on the integration and synthesis of knowledge to support clinical judgment, NCLEX readiness, and transition to professional nursing practice. Students engage in comprehensive review and application of nursing concepts through case-based learning, simulation, and NCLEX-style assessments.
Emphasis is placed on advanced clinical reasoning, prioritization, and decision-making in complex patient care scenarios. Students analyze patterns in performance, identify remaining knowledge gaps, and implement targeted strategies using evidence-based academic and clinical resources.
Students demonstrate readiness for entry into practice by applying clinical judgment to manage patient care situations, anticipate complications, and support safe, patient-centered outcomes.
The course fosters accountability, self-directed learning, and professional role transition, preparing graduates for success on the NCLEX and entry into the nursing profession.
