NURS 4156 Critical Thinking Seminar Ill
This seminar course advances the development of clinical judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization in the application of nursing knowledge to complex patient care situations. Students engage in structured learning activities that emphasize the analysis of multi-system clinical scenarios, prioritization of care, and application of knowledge to NCLEX-style and case-based questions.
Emphasis is placed on the integration and effective use of evidence-based academic and clinical resources, to evaluate performance, identify patterns in clinical reasoning, and implement targeted strategies for improvement.
Students apply clinical reasoning to anticipate complications, recognize changes in patient status, and make informed decisions in increasingly complex situations. The course fosters self-directed learning, accountability, and reflective practice, supporting progression toward readiness for advanced clinical courses and professional nursing practice.
