SOWK 6350 Social Work Research Methods

The methodological, and philosophical, foundations of scientific inquiry will be the focus of this course. Ethical and culturally responsible research methods and approaches to quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods research will be examined and their use to expand the social work knowledge base to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people. Students will gain knowledge and skills to use research to inform and improve professional practice through critical thinking, data analysis information and skill in the dissemination of research findings and conclusions to those most impacted.
