SOWK 6342 Field Practicum II
Students continue their field practicum education in Field Practicum II expanding their competency to integrate theoretical and conceptual frameworks of social work practice in a professional social work practice setting under the supervision of a social worker/field supervisor. Students' developmental growth is framed by the nine CSWE competencies that are assessed during field practicum. Students gain practice skills and knowledge working with individuals, families, groups and organizations. Students also learn about the professional supervision process and the supervisor role in the development of a professional social worker. Students must complete 225 hours of authorized and documented field practicum activities and demonstrate growth in their ability to practice social work.
