Registration and Student Records

Course Registration

Students who have been officially admitted to UT Permian Basin are eligible to register for courses. Registration periods are held prior to the beginning of each academic semester. During these periods, students may:

  • Register for classes
  • Make schedule adjustments (add/drop)
  • Review tuition and fee assessments

Registration dates, deadlines, and related academic calendar events are published in the official course schedule and are also available online at www.utpb.edu. Students are encouraged to register early and consult with their academic advisor to ensure timely progress toward degree completion.

Student Records

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for maintaining and safeguarding all official student academic records. Students may access many of these services through the University’s secure Student Portal. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that their personal and academic records are accurate and up to date.  This includes:

  • Enrollment verification: Accessed through Student Portal.
  • Transcript requests (Current students),  (Alumni)
  • Degree audits and graduation certification
  • Name and address changes
  • Academic standing and GPA records

Student Record Appeals

Students at UTPB have the right to appeal aspects of their student education records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and University policy. A student who believes their education record contains information that is inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate may submit a written request for review to the Office of the Registrar.
