Admissions Requirements

General undergraduate admissions requirements include:

  • Completed application through ApplyTexas or Common App or visit the UTPB Admissions website
  • Official high school or college transcripts from an accredited institution
  • Proof of Texas residency (if applicable) - SAT or ACT scores (optional, will be used as supporting documents)
  • All new students and those who are returning after a one semester absence and under the age of 22 will be required to show evidence that they have received the bacterial meningitis vaccination or eligible for an exemption prior to enrolling
  • Application fee or waiver:
    • Qualification:
      • Letter from applicant's current school district indicating they qualify for free/reduced lunches (freshmen only)
      • Copy of Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with estimated family Student Aid Index (SAI) of -1500 to 0
      • Qualifying fee waiver from CollegeBoard, ACT, or NACAC from their official websites
      • Letter from a caseworker that identifies the applicant as a ward of the state or resident in foster care
