Bookstore
The UTPB Bookstore serves as the campus hub for purchasing textbooks, course materials, school supplies, and university‑branded merchandise. Operated in partnership with Follett, the bookstore provides students and faculty with convenient access to required and recommended materials, including new, used, rental, and digital textbook options. The store’s online platform allows users to enter their student ID to automatically retrieve course‑specific materials, helping ensure accuracy and reducing confusion when selecting textbooks. Career Services
The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) Career Services provides a comprehensive suite of resources to help students explore career paths, gain professional experience, and transition confidently into the workforce. Childcare Center
The UTPB Child Care Center provides a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children of students, faculty, and staff at the University of Texas Permian Basin. Located on the north side of the Student Activity Center, the center serves children ages 18 months to 5 years and is fully licensed by the State of Texas. With a focus on individualized care, the center uses the Creative Curriculum to promote cognitive and social development through engaging activities and interest areas. Children also enjoy daily outdoor play in a supervised setting. Staff members are carefully vetted and regularly trained in child development and safety practices. Foster Care Alumni
UTPB is deeply committed to supporting foster care alumni through its FACES Program—Foster Alumni Creating Educational Success. This initiative is designed to help students who have experienced foster care thrive academically, financially, socially, and professionally. Through FACES, students receive specialized academic advising, tutoring, and coaching via the Student Success Center. Financial support includes access to multiple aid sources, tuition and fee waivers under the State College Tuition Waiver, and financial literacy workshops to help students manage their budgets and long-term goals. Career Services assist with job placement, resume building, and interview preparation, while social support is offered through campus engagement and the Office of the Dean of Students. Student Organization
Student organizations at the University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) offer students a dynamic way to get involved, build community, and develop leadership skills outside the classroom. With nearly 50 active organizations ranging from academic and professional clubs to cultural, service, and social groups, there’s something for every interest. Student Parking and Transportation
The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) provides convenient and accessible parking and transportation services to support students' daily campus life. All students are required to register for a parking permit, which is valid from August 15 through the following year and can be obtained online or at the UTPB Police Department located in the Mesa Building. Designated parking areas are available across campus, including reserved spaces for Student Housing residents. UTPB also offers a shuttle service to help students travel between campus locations, including the Midland campus. Students with Disabilities
The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) is committed to ensuring equal access to education for all students, including those with disabilities. Through the Office of ADA for Students, UTPB provides accommodations and support services in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Students with documented disabilities may receive individualized accommodations such as extended testing time, note-taking assistance, isolated testing environments, and enlarged print materials.
