Recruitment Materials
Recruitment Materials and Practices
To ensure that all recruitment materials and presentations accurately reflect the University’s policies, practices, and academic offerings, UT Permian Basin requires a systematic and documented review and approval process. This process involves collaboration among key campus stakeholders, including:
- Office of Admissions
- Office of Graduate Studies
- Office of Marketing and Communication
- Relevant academic departments, programs, and colleges
This policy applies to all recruitment materials, whether produced internally or by third-party vendors.
In compliance with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines, UT Permian Basin:
- Prohibits commissions, bonuses, or other incentive payments—directly or indirectly—based on securing enrollments of service members.
- Does not offer inducements to any individual or entity for the purpose of obtaining military enrollments or tuition assistance.
- Refrains from high-pressure recruitment tactics, including repeated unsolicited phone calls, emails, or in-person visits.
- Prohibits same-day recruitment and registration activities aimed at enrolling military service members.
Guidelines for Independent Contractors and Agents
Independent contractors or third-party agents engaged in recruitment or admissions activities on behalf of UT Permian Basin are held to the same standards and policies as University personnel. These contractors must:
- Ensure their staff receive regular training on University policies and ethical recruitment practices.
- Adhere to all applicable University, state, and federal regulations.
- Affirm compliance through contractual agreements and supporting documentation.
