Hazlewood Act
The Hazlewood Act, established by the Texas Legislature, provides a tuition and fee exemption for eligible Texas veterans. This program is designed to assist veterans who have exhausted their federal education benefits and are not eligible for Federal Title IV grants.
Qualified veterans may receive a waiver of all tuition and certain mandatory fees at public institutions of higher education in Texas, including UT Permian Basin.

The Hazlewood Act for Texas Veterans was established by the Texas State Legislature.
