SI and PLTL programs are a collaborative effort between the Success Center and course faculty to support students through peer-led group workshops that meet the current needs of students in the course. The Supplemental Instructor and Peer-Leader leading workshops are trained in AVID strategies to facilitate effective and collaborative learning sessions for students.

Writing tutors are also housed in the Success Center. They offer both walk-in and appointment sessions for individuals and groups. Writing tutors are trained to help all writers improve the quality of their work, regardless of what level they of writing stages they are in. Writing tutors are skilled in facilitating improvements in critical thinking that are essential to intellectual and academic growth.
