Degree Requirements
- No minor is required for the Education BA.
- It is the student's responsibility to read the U.T. Permian Basin catalog and be familiar with and fulfill all university requirements for the degree.
- Complete at least 120 semester credit hours for the degree.
- At least 30 of the 120 hours must be completed at UTPB.
- At least 48 credit hours must be at the junior/senior level.
- At least 24 of the last 30 hours must be completed at UTPB.
- Earn at least a C grade in all major courses, and maintain a GPA of at least 2.50 in all courses applicable toward the degree. A student whose GPA is below 2.50 is ineligible for admission to the teacher certification program and may need to consider other degree options.
- Students who enrolled in a Texas public institution of higher education as first-time freshman in Fall 2007 and thereafter are not permitted to drop more than six courses during their undergraduate career (Texas Administrative Code 4.10). This includes UTPB and transfer coursework.
