NURS 3466 Clinical Pharmacology
Introduction to Pharmacology is designed to introduce the concepts of Pharmacotherapeutics in nursing practice. The student nurse will exam medications used in the treatment illness, and the promotion, maintenance and restoration of wellness across the lifespan of individuals. An emphasis on principles of access basic drug classification, reposes in the body, drug/drug interactions, patient safety in drug administration, monitoring and managing adverse reactions/side effects, patient education, legal/ethical issues, and calculations of dosage.
