MENG 3348 Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering Design

Extensive use of computers as part of the mechanical engineering design process. Introduction to the finite element method for thermal and mechanical systems design. Software packages using solid modeling, finite element analysis, nonlinear solvers, and kinematic simulation will be introduced. Design project work using computational tools is a major component of the course.
