PSYC 6392 Practicum

Three semester hours (225 clock hours) of supervised practical experience in an appropriate clinic or research setting (depending on area of concentration). Prerequisites for applied research M.A. students: PSYC 6302, 6304 and 6324; and approval of the Thesis Proposal. Prerequisites for clinical M.A. students: PSYC 6305, 6321, 6323, 6324, 6350 and 6351; 24 hours towards graduate degree; proof of liability insurance; approval of the Thesis Proposal; and permission of instructor. Course may be repeated for a total of six maximum hours. Practicum will be graded by S for satisfactory and U for unsatisfactory. The S does not calculate in the GPA ; but the grade of S does indicate satisfactory completion of 3 credit hours of practicum experience. The U calculates as a failing grade in the GPA.
