College of Health Sciences
Department of Biology
Biology is one of the broadest and most important subjects in the world. Put simply, it is the study of life.
Department of Human Performance
The Kinesiology program teaches the science behind the responses and adaptations to exercise. It includes components of nutrition, health and fitness, and cardiovascular wellness. You will learn how the body adapts to exercise, how to tailor programs to individual patients needs, and how to use learned skills as medicine for your patients and customers.
Department of Psychology
Psychology studies the individual—mind, thoughts, and feelings—and how these impact behavior. This individual scale includes close relationships in a family or peer group. Study psychology to understand the biological processes of the mind. Advanced study gives you the expertise to be a counselor or therapist, helping individuals navigate their lives.
Department of Social Work
Master of Social Work* (MSW) prepares you to excel in clinical social work in healthcare and behavioral healthcare settings, with an emphasis on rural areas. During your program studies you’ll explore relevant and timely topics including social work research methods, supervision, and administration; psychopathology; social welfare programs; racism; foundations of social justice; and group work.
