ENGL 6333 Border Literature and Theory

This course will be a focused study of literature set on geographic borderlands, with particular attention paid but not limited to the American Southwest and the United States - Mexico border. Readings will draw on both literary and theoretical texts that depict or examine border conditions as wells as the politics of immigration and the crossing borders.
