EDRD 6315 Foundations Of Literacy
This course is focused on building background knowledge in teaching reading and literacy in the elementary and middle school grades for post bac students seeking a teaching certificate and reading specialist students seeking a foundational review of constructive education methodology. Topics include but are not limited to phonemic awareness, phonics, scaffolding, differentiated instruction, spelling approaches, vocabulary building, reading comprehension and timely educational issues. Prerequisite(s): admittance to graduate studies or permission of instructor.
